Kudofy ("we", "our", "us") operates the website kudofy.io and provides automated SMS review request services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information and the information of your customers when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

From you (the business owner):

  • Email address and password (for account authentication)
  • Business name, owner name, industry, and phone number
  • Google Business Profile review link
  • Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store card details)

From your customers (provided by you):

  • Customer first name
  • Customer phone number

We only receive customer information that you provide to us through the Service. We do not independently collect information about your customers.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service, including sending SMS review requests on your behalf
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send you account-related emails (welcome, trial reminders, billing notifications)
  • Track message delivery status and opt-out requests
  • Improve and maintain the Service

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information or your customers' information to third parties. We share information only with:

  • Twilio — to deliver SMS messages (receives customer phone numbers and message content)
  • Stripe — to process payments (receives your payment information)
  • Resend — to send email notifications to you (receives your email address)
  • Supabase — to store and manage data (our database provider)

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and is contractually obligated to protect your data.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers. Access to production data is restricted and protected by authentication and role-based access controls.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and message history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including customer phone numbers, message history, and account settings — is permanently deleted. Opted-out phone numbers are retained to ensure compliance even after account deletion.

7. Customer Phone Numbers

Customer phone numbers provided by you are used solely for the purpose of sending review request SMS messages. We do not use customer phone numbers for marketing, do not share them with other businesses, and do not contact customers for any purpose other than the review request you initiate. If a customer opts out by replying STOP, their number is flagged and no further messages will be sent.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and review the data we hold about you and your customers
  • Update or correct your account information
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data upon request
  • Opt out of non-essential emails

9. California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). This includes the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. 10. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as we only use strictly necessary cookies.
